Bars in Meridian Idaho – Nightlife Filled With Music
The Bins Are Back In Meridian Idaho! This legendary watering hole has been a local fixture for more than half a century. Since it opened in 1928, the original bar has always been busy, providing an excellent place to socialize for locals and tourists alike. Generations of families have enjoyed the legendary atmosphere and fantastic customer service that have made this a fixture in the downtown area.
Named for the street on which it is located, the original watering hole quickly became famous among locals and out-of-towners alike for its great food, live music, and an interesting collection of memorabilia. Known as The Social Club, the bar features many of the original wooden floor fixtures from when the club first opened. It is also known for its legendary burgers. Locals and visitors alike love this burger and pizza joint, which are known by locals simply as “The Social.” Many locals and out-of-towners still frequent The Social Club, where they enjoy a cold beer, burgers, and pizza (or a nice lunch salad).
Another great place in downtown Meridian for bars and clubs is Tito’s Tap Room. A favorite of local musicians, Tito’s features two floors and several rooms for dancing. The club is open late night and early morning, so you will never be stuck waiting for one of the owners to open the door. And with an endless selection of great music, Tito’s can keep anyone partying hard until the early hours of morning.
With multiple locations in Idaho, and a passion for music as well as fine food, the O’Brien’s Irish Pub and Restaurant are another great choice for bars and clubs. Situated right on Main Street in downtown Idaho, this Irish pub offers locals and visitors alike a taste of Ireland. With over 40 tables and numerous live bands every week, you are sure to find the music you want to hear. O’Brien’s features great food, too, so you can stay in one of their pubs for hours and still have something delicious to eat.
One of the newest bars in Idaho to open recently is the Peale House. Like many of the other bars and clubs featured here, Peale House is housed in an old warehouse turned into a hotel. If you are looking for some high energy music, the place is perfect for you. They have four floors and are filled with memorabilia from the likes of Boz Scaggs and Steve Vai. Many of the rooms have been decorated by some of the biggest names in music, too, such as Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page.
Of course, there are also plenty of small, local bars and clubs in downtown Idaho that cater to the music scene. Boz Scaggs Records is a locally owned record label that offers CD’s from local artists for fans of Boz Scaggs and country music in general. The upstairs studio has an L.A. guitar player, but you can get down to business downstairs in the downstairs bar. If you are looking for a little more traditional music, check out the upstairs lounge for your favorite jazz or blues number. Or bring your own vinyl to play any of the jazz or blues songs on the jukebox inside.
